Since its inception in 1986, Fratelli Pty Ltd has grown from a small local knitwear manufacturer into a strong family business specialising in wool menswear manufacture and wholesale supply of knitwear garments.
With humble beginnings as a textile mechanic, Phillip Spoto saw an opportunity to forge his own knitwear company. Inspired by a commitment of creating quality wool knitwear, Phillip Spoto put all his efforts into designing his first range. Taking a risk, Phillip bought a number of knitwear machines and started his own business in 1986. In collaboration with other stakeholders in the industry, Fratelli released its first knitwear range in winter of 1987, and it was met with immediate success.
